Dr. Nehring received his Bachelor of Science from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1979. His Doctorate of Optometry was received in 1983 at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. In August 1986, Dr. Nehring moved to Woodburn to establish Woodburn Vision Source. During his education, Dr. Nehring was trained in refractive vision care and ocular disease. He has extensive experience in caring for pre-operative and post-operative cataract and LASIK patients. He is certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat glaucoma, iritis, “red eye’ and other anterior eye diseases. Dr. Nehring is currently serving as President of the Great Western Council of Optometry for 2011-2012. He has served as President of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA) in 1998-1999. Dr. Nehring was honored to receive the Optometrist of the Year Award from OOPA in 1993 and 2011 and the Presidents Award in 2000 and 2006. Dr. Emilee Nehring received her Doctorate of Optometry from MCPHS University, College of Optometry in 2017. Dr. Emilee will be specializing in pediatric care, however she has completed training in post and pre operative care of refractive surgery and cataract surgery, ocular disease and contact lenses. Dr. Nehring grew up in Woodburn, Oregon. She graduated from Canby High School in 2007, and then went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Pre Med from Oregon Institute of Technology, where she was a collegiate long jumper. Dr. Nehring has traveled to Bolivia, Nicaragua and Mexico on vision mission trips and is continually improving her Spanish speaking skills. Dr. Laura Ozuna was raised in Beaverton Oregon and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University. She later obtained her Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University's College of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and a member of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA) where she serves on the board of the Oregon Foundation for Vision Awareness (OFVA). She is currently the Co-Trustee of the west coast region of the National Optometric Association (NOA). Dr. Ozuna is passionate about patient education and supporting the local community with eyecare and overall healthcare. She provides comprehensive and medical eye examinations in English and Spanish to patients of all identities and backgrounds. Her main interests in optometry include ocular disease, contact lenses and primary care optometry. She also enjoys participating in community outreach events.
