Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Woodburn Vision Source the leading provider of vision care products and services in Woodburn.

Scott L. Nehring, OD

Dr. Nehring received his Bachelor of Science from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1979. His Doctorate of Optometry was received in 1983 at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. In August 1986, Dr. Nehring moved to Woodburn to establish Woodburn Vision Source.

During his education, Dr. Nehring was trained in refractive vision care and ocular disease. He has extensive experience in caring for pre-operative and post-operative cataract and LASIK patients. He is certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat glaucoma, iritis, “red eye’ and other anterior eye diseases.

Dr. Nehring is currently serving as President of the Great Western Council of Optometry for 2011-2012. He has served as President of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA) in 1998-1999. Dr. Nehring was honored to receive the Optometrist of the Year Award from OOPA in 1993 and 2011 and the Presidents Award in 2000 and 2006. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Oregon Optometric Physicians Association and the Willamette Optometric Society.

 

Irina Stignei, OD

Dr. Irina Stignei received her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in 2011. She is highly trained in refractive vision care and ocular disease. She has experience caring for pre-operative and post-operative cataract and LASIK patients, and is certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat glaucoma, iritis, “red eye’ and other anterior eye diseases.

Dr. Stignei emigrated from Romania when she was 8 years old. After spending 2 years in California, she and her family moved to Woodburn, Oregon. She graduated from Woodburn High School in 2000, and then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in General Science from Portland State University. She speaks fluent Russian and Romanian.

Dr. Stignei is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA), and Portland Metropolitan Optometric Society (PMOS). In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, hiking, snowboarding, photography, and spending time with her new baby, Walter.

 

KU7A3539Yelena Galuza, OD

Dr. Yelena Galuza received her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in 2015. She completed training in refractive surgery, pediatrics, and ocular disease.

Dr. Galuza emigrated from Ukraine when she was 6 years old. Her family settled in south east Portland. She graduated from David Douglas High School in 2007, and then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Bio-chemistry from the University of Portland. She speaks fluent Russian, Ukrainian, and some Spanish.

Dr. Galuza is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA), and Portland Metropolitan Optometric Society (PMOS).

 

 

Emilee R. Nehring, OD

Dr. Emilee Nehring received her Doctorate of Optometry from MCPHS University, College of Optometry in 2017.  Dr. Emilee will be specializing in pediatric care, however she has completed training in post and pre operative care of refractive surgery and cataract surgery, ocular disease and contact lenses.

Dr. Nehring grew up in Woodburn, Oregon. She graduated from Canby High School in 2007, and then went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Pre Med from Oregon Institute of Technology, where she was a collegiate long jumper.

Dr. Nehring has traveled to Bolivia, Nicaragua and Mexico on vision mission trips and is continually improving her Spanish speaking skills.

Dr.  Nehring currently serves on the board for the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH).  She is also a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA).
